Excentum – About Us
Excentum manages Tenancy Reference Data for use by Landlords, Letting Agents, Property Management Companies and a wide range of businesses across industries including property rental, recruitment, financial services, insurance services and many more.
We are focused on providing data driven information products and services to help landlords and businesses make better informed decisions when engaging with potential tenants, employees and customers.
The information we store and process, as part of our Tenancy Reference Data Matching service for Business Members, may be used as part of decision making processes relating to:
- Rental / Leasing of residential property;
- Mortgage / Financing the purchase of residential property;
- Credit / Personal Loan Applications;
- Pre-Employment Screening processes;
- other areas where residence verification / information is required.
The Tenancy Reference Data we provide can, in addition to other information from other sources, enable landlords or businesses processing applications to:
- establish the validity of the details of the applicant;
- prevent fraudulent applications; and
- enable any confirmation or verification of identity, residence or credit history of the applicant as may be required pursuant to the application received.
Tenancy Reference Data held by Excentum will include:
- Personal opinion of the Landlord / Landlords Agent about the tenancy period;
- Factual information about the tenancy period.
This Tenancy Reference Data is processed in accordance with the Conditions for Processing – ‘Legitimate Interests’ as contained in Article 7 of the Data Protection Directive (95/46/EC). See our Data Protection, Terms of Use, Legal Disclaimer and Privacy Policy pages for more information.
